Checking your lap time and recording every kms you covered the earth is one such an achievement and also gave you a bragging rights with your friends that you cover such trail in about an hour or two.
So what you need to track your biking experience and growth.
An Android phone or an IOS phone with GPS chip.
Internet connection
and a willing to learned nut.
To start with, download Sportstracker on appstore or playstore.

Once you have installed the software on your cell phone. Register your account or use your Facebook to authenticate. I suggest using the latter since it will automatically publish to your Facebook status every after saves and sync.
Now when you open your sports tracker software on your phone.
It will ask for a start a new workout. I won't detail here on how to use the software.

It has a chart on the altitude, speed and heart rate. The heart rate monitor requires you to buy a heart monitor gear. What's best about this tracker is that it records the places you've been to and also when you take a picture of the place it will automatically bookmark the location where the shot had been taken.
On the other hand, it also gives you a monitoring on when was your last workout and also determine how many workout hours you have spent in a month.
There are a lot of softwares for workout tracking but I find sports tracker easy to use.
