I got a problem installing the HP deskjet 1280 for windows 7 64 bit. It says on the HP Support forum that its not yet supported.From the site I tested some alternate drivers that I can use. From the test I got. The one that works is the HP 1220c drivers. In case you just install the windows 7 and haven’t update it from the microsoft, You won’t be able to see the printer drivers on the printer windows.
Before anything else do a windows update for the printers drivers.

When all is done updating the drivers. You can now see alot of drivers available for Windows 7 64 bit operating system. You will notice that there are no driver available for HP 1280. Please try to use HP 1220c. It works as a charm for me. I hope you find this post helpful enough to have your printer work.
