Budbod: A Taytay Native Delicacy

Budbod If you are visiting Taytay. You shouldn’t have missed Budbod. It’s a version of Fried Rice with toppings. Originated as far as I remember on the ‘90s.

It was named because of the way its being prepared. The chef are sprinkling (binubudburan) the toppings on the Fried Rice. There are alot of kinds of toppings to choose from like Pork, Seafoods, Beef,Shanghai and mixed Pork and Seafoods. What is best about this food is the cheap price. For about Php30 you will surely satisfy your craving.

Truly there are alot of Budbod shops in Taytay. I like best the one located in San Isidro Dulo. They have this small Food carinderia where you can eat in or take home a Budbod all the way to your house.

Many had also joined this shop on offering budbod but I believe this is the last Budbod standing.

I haven’t able to met the owner of the shop but you can try it when you get a chance to visit the Humble town of Taytay.
